Keep Cool and Weatherize
Weatherization: What Is It?
Weatherization fixes the gaps or cracks in ducts, doors, windows, and walls where air unexpectedly seeps in or escapes. It fixes those gaps with “air sealing” and “insulating.”
When properly sealed and insulated, your home stays warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. It works a little like that insulated drink tumbler that keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold.
A sealed and insulated home is a more energy-efficient home. It could help you save on your monthly energy bills so you can “keep your cool" this summer.
Assess. Seal. Insulate.
Want to find out if your home has drafts, leaks, and gaps? Contact us for a no-cost home energy assessment. We will examine your home top to bottom then create a customized report that explains how to increase efficiency and energy savings.
New Yorkers who own a single-family or multifamily home (up to four units) are eligible for a no-cost assessment.
If an assessment shows that your home has leaks or poor insulation, we will discuss your options and different solutions to help you find what works best for your home.
Owners of one-, two-, three-, or four-family homes can save on weatherization and energy efficiency upgrades with federal Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) tax credits, State tax credits, and low-interest financing options and incentives from NYSERDA programs.
With so many ways to increase energy efficiency, we’re confident you’ll find one or more that work for you!
