Celebrating Jennitsia Rodriguez: Winner of the 2024 Adam B. Scott Memorial Scholarship
In November 2021, Jennitsia Rodriguez joined Halco with a determination to excel in the HVAC industry. Despite having little experience, she quickly demonstrated a natural aptitude and dedication that set her on a fast track to success. In just over two years, Jennitsia has mastered the installation of complete geothermal systems, including start-up, with minimal supervision. Her rapid development and technical proficiency are a testament to her hard work and commitment to continuous learning.
Currently enrolled in our HVAC NYSDOL apprenticeship program, Jennitsia manages a rigorous schedule of night classes while working full-time. Her passion for education and professional growth is evident, and she is poised to achieve even greater heights in her career.
Jennitsia’s leadership qualities and maturity are exceptional. She has earned the admiration and appreciation of both customers and colleagues. Our management team frequently receives thank you cards from clients who have been impressed by her service, highlighting her customer-focused approach. Jennitsia is not only hardworking and dedicated but also a pleasure to work with, embodying the qualities we value at Halco.

Adam Scott was an HVAC technician for over 25 years, known for his mechanical expertise, inquisitive nature, and problem-solving skills. He worked his way from entry-level to master technician, always approaching his work with positivity and joy. Adam was committed to excellence and highly regarded by his customers and peers for his integrity, courtesy, and exceptional service.
To honor Adam's legacy and support the next generation of HVAC technicians, the Adam B. Scott Memorial Scholarship was established. This scholarship aims to provide significant assistance to entry-level technicians, helping them access the education, tools, and resources needed to advance their careers. Scholarship recipients are selected for their passion, leadership qualities, and potential for success in the industry—traits that Adam exemplified.
