Halco Gives Students First-Hand Experience In Skilled Trades
Halco has an Explorer Post that meets monthly at its headquarters in Phelps, NY. This is a program that is sponsored through the Boy Scouts of America. We have a great group of high school students that get to experience hands-on training in the Renewable Energy fields, as well as the skilled trades. In January, the students were doing plasma-cutting.
In February, they were threading pipe and welding and in March, we are scheduled to do spray foam insulation. This is a great way for these young people to experience the industry first-hand.
