Entry Level Spray Foam Technician

Halco currently has an opening for a Residential Spray Foam Technician to help meet our customers' needs throughout the Upstate NY area. We are seeking candidates who have an intermediate background or working knowledge in energy-efficiency practices along with general carpentry skills and a basic, all-around innate mechanical aptitude for this position. Residential Spray Foam Technicians are responsible for conducting residential retrofit, energy-efficient improvements for our customers, as prescribed by the Energy Advisor. These improvements may consist of spray foam insulation, cellulose, general air-sealing work, window/door replacement, basement waterproofing, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates to come in and receive paid training to learn a trade from the ground up.

Qualifications:

• Possess your own hand tools
• Be very agile with the ability to work in tight attics and crawl spaces
• Be organized, efficient, and punctual
• Possess a valid NY State driver's license
• Have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs.+ consistently
• Understand how to provide customer service on a level that will both maintain our existing customer base and attract new clientele
• Have strong leadership characteristics, along with problem-solving and decision-making skillsets
• Possess the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and positive attitude
• Have an understanding of carpentry, construction, or other skilled trades/general "handyman" knowledge

Compensation:

Our spray foam technicians are paid an hourly wage plus production bonuses based on volume. You can expect to earn $20/hour on average with potential earnings in excess of $35/hour. Work weeks are Monday - Friday (with occasional Saturdays, based on need) and average between 40 to 60 hours per week.
