Before contacting Halco, these Stanley, NY customers were using an oil furnace and a standard electric water heater. After learning the many benefits of a geothermal system, these customers decided to move forward.
Geothermal Heat Pump
This is the geothermal heat pump that Halco technicians installed. The heat pump resides within this white, insulated box. The box contains vibration isolation pads to dampen sound and vibration transfer. The loop field picks up heat from the ground and transfers it to this heat pump. The heat pump compresses the refrigerant which increases the temperature. It then transfers the heat to the air handler and to the rest of the customer's home.
Geothermal Air Handler
The air handler allows the geothermal heat pump system to provide heating and cooling to the customer's home.
Heat Pump Water Heater
Heat pump technology may also be used to heat water, scoring additional energy savings. This new heat pump water heater uses 1/3 the electricity as the customer's old standard water heater.
New Thermostat
The customer can now manage their comfort through their new Honeywell thermostat.
