Although it should be noted that we were forced to pay $2800 in this service call to CORRECT a PROBLEM THAT WAS INITIATED WHEN HALCO ORIGINALLY INSTALLED OUR GEOTHERMAL SYSTEM. At the time that was installed, we had water baseboard heat in 3 rooms that was working fine, and the Halco people assured that the replacement water heater they put in would work as well. It did not, the final resolution of which has cost us thousands of dollars. This doesn't seem fair or equitable. Note, though, that overall we still remain fans of Halco. Geothermal is much better than oil heat was, we like the new insulation you added, our new solar system is working well, and we really like many of the people associated with Halco (including the technician that came out to install the new holding tank this last time). We are puzzled by why Halco has charged us to finally resolve a problem that they created. Part of the problem may be because the people we are dealing with keep changing as people are promoted into different jobs (which we applaud because people like Sean Hodge are highly competent and deserve promotion), leaving us high and dry on resolving old issues.
