Halco is a BPI certified Healthy Homes Evaluator and can pinpoint energy efficiency issues as well as other indoor safety concerns.
Since the founding of the Building Performance Institute (BPI) in 1993, they have become the most prevalent certification and standard-setting organization for indoor air quality professionals. They are accredited by the American National Standards Institute, Inc. (ANSI) for developing the American National Standards and as a certifying entity for personnel credentials. BPI creates the technical criteria and best practices for home energy audits that pinpoint energy efficiency, health, and safety improvements.
As a certified Healthy Homes Evaluator, Halco is responsible for assessing common residential health hazards, such as moisture, mold, home radon, lead, asbestos, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), allergy and asthma triggers, fire hazards, and other risk factors. We then provide a prioritized list of recommendations in addressing those problems.
The Healthy Homes Evaluator certification was developed in partnership with the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, allowing us to go the extra mile in our home energy audits.
