I'd just like to say I appreciated the integrity displayed by Halco throughout this process. I initially had my worries that we were going to be sold on a lot of things we didn't need, but the first visit from George helped allay those fears. He pointed out aspects of the house we were not aware of as problems. Such as the bathroom fans venting into the attic, air circulation in the basement, issues with the dryer, and of course the leaking gas pipes. We were glad when the crew came out to fix these issues and more and also bring our insulation up to code. When George came out for the follow-up visit, he found that the gas pipes still had a minor leak, and I was impressed that Halco would double-check their work. Then the crew returned and they showed me how gas leaks are confirmed with that special fluid. Then I could actually see the bubble form and understand the process. That was useful for me to see. The crew then immediately redid the joint and we confirmed the seal was good. Then the guy gave me tips as he reignited the pilot on the water heater before they left. The ability to recognize, acknowledge and fix mistakes has become rare, and I am glad to see it exists at Halco.
