Our experience of working with Halco has been excellent. We have no hesitation recommending them based on the work they have done for us on our new house. Halco did all the plumbing on our new house and also designed and installed our solar/PV electric system. We had been considering geothermal heating and would definitely have gone with Halco but decided not to install it in the end (we did 'stub in' radiant piping in our basement floor to allow an upgrade to geothermal if our wood stove proved inadequate. Right now our house (which is straw-bale post-and-beam) is proving to be very energy efficient and even the stove is hardly necessary.). Halco's renewables group has been outstanding to work with and seems to consistently hire remarkable people: smart, articulate and very customer/user oriented. Everyone, from managers to installers were knowledgeable, efficient and reliable. Based on our positive experiences with Halco doing the solar/PV for our house my wife went ahead and convinced her business partner to install solar on their office building. Halco's plumbing people were also the best we have ever worked with as homeowners- and over 30 years we have dealt with our share of plumbers. They got the job done in a timely fashion, were responsive to our concerns and flexible when it came to the inevitable glitches in schedule and unexpected situations.

On Friday Shawn came by to make various adjustments to our geothermal system. The system is significantly quieter (thanks so much!) and we now have adequate hot water. The only remaining issue is that we would like to know the current efficiency through your monitoring system and also get access to the web-based monitoring system. We both want to take this opportunity to thank one and all for the unbelievable service that Halco has shown during this whole installation. Shawn has been absolutely exceptional in his help and devotion to making things work, and every other person we encountered from Halco was very polite, helpful and a delight to have around. We have never encountered a company that is consistently so good. Thank you. The Manzanos were here yesterday and we tried to convey our high respect for Halco. The final payment will be in the mail on Monday. We look forward to working with you all in the future.

People usually only contact you when there are problems, I'm sure. And I know I expressed some initial concern to you that other companies have not been responsive.  So I wanted to let you know that Kate (who has been the primary person involved) has been really pleased with the job Halco has done for us in setting up electricity to our barns and water pumps. They adhered to the quoted price and timeline, and things work. Steve is one heck of a skilled professional in his clarity, approach, intellect and ability to turn around a negative initial situation.  I know from experience owning two companies this is not easy to accomplish.  Steve's openness and forthright, honest manner carries the day.  Ron was kind and very well-versed in performing the audit and compilation of a coherent report and plan. Steve has worked with me since the 27th of February to reach an agreement on materials and scope of the replacement, the pricing to match me personal budget, NYSERDA paperwork and my concerns with focus and kindness... He is great.  I appreciate his obvious concern for NYSERDA and their goals. Yesterday, I got to see this plan all come together.  The installation process of my new furnace was fun to watch; your employees really know their jobs and work well as a team.  All the guys were respectful, clean, organized and steady.  Steve kept all on point, teaching team members as they went and assuring success.  I was able to reach in my studio, while the install was completed on the other side of the wall from my studio.  I had nothing to clean up after... ...You are welcome to offer my reference to anyone that is interested and that will benefit HALCO.  A month from now, when my remodeling is complete here, I will be glad to show prospective customers your install in my home.  I will do what we can to find you more business.

I could not find where we could give our testimony regarding our experience with Halco...so I'm putting it here...We have been customers of Halco for several years, always happy with service. In fact, the customer service is outstanding. We recently had an energy audit done by Will Graeper, he was very professional, explained everything in a simple, well understood manner. Our audit proved to be helpful, and because of the outcome, we are having the insulation blown under our manufactured home. Thank you Halco for your dependable, professional service.

On behalf of Construction Associates, I wanted to take the time to thank you and your team for the work performed on the Envisage Information Systems project located at 31 Dutch Mill Road in Ithaca, NY. Over the past 28 years of doing construction work, I have come in contact with hundreds of companies across the east coast and few of them reach the level of professionalism as Halco.  Your company responded to a difficult renovation project that had an extremely rigorous schedule and you met all of our goals and obligations including quality and safety. The new thermostat has made an enormous improvement. Not only is the house being perfectly cooled and dehumidified, the differential between upstairs and downstairs is only 2 degrees, which is perfect for sleeping.
