Mr. Smith, Last May, I arranged for a visit from your service, and a terrific and knowledgeable technician: Eric McConnell, was very helpful in reviewing our plumbing and heating needs. He made some great recommendations and we ended up signing up for the service agreements for both heating and plumbing. I am sorely delayed in following up on some of Eric's recommendation and will do so in the near future. In the meantime, after noticing that our actual thermostat reading was lower than the preset temp, I called your toll free line last night. Another technician, John, called me back and we discussed the issue. Because we had heat (just not the normal amount), I asked John to arrange a visit for today, rather than making a trip last night. John did so, and promptly this morning just after 7am, someone from your offices called and we set a technician visit for this evening at 5pm. Hans, the Technician and a BOCES student, Lane, were here right on time. In fact, they were early actually, which was great for me as a mom of two who was running around all day. Hans was very thorough in listening to my concerns, and shared what he thought may be the problem. Sure enough, after doing some tests, he confirmed his suspicion that the gas valve needed replacement. Lane and he were excellent in terms of their professionalism, their expertise, and their patience as I asked them tons of questions about our heating system and what they were doing. This was the first time I had to call HALCO since our service agreement and couldn't be happier with the results. They had to turn systems on and off, run system tests, pull apart the old valve and replace it with a new one, reconnect the gas, and check to ensure there were no gas leaks. Probably basic stuff to your technicians but very scary for those of us who don't have that expertise. The house almost immediately began warming up and I was/am extremely confident in the safety of our boiler after they worked on it. Between all the people with whom I have interacted from the very beginning, I was been truly impressed and appreciative of their high level of customer service and knowledge. I am terrible at completing paper surveys so I hope this note to you suffices to convey my thanks to Eric, John, Hans and Lane, and anyone else who helped us along the way. I plan on following up on the recommendations Eric made, and look forward to improving the energy and plumbing needs of our home with your company's help. Thank you!

Steve Shreffler helped me twice with my oil fuel heating system. He's consistently friendly, helpful, informative, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Most of all, he truly cares about Halco customers. Thank you, Steve, for all your help!

Hi! We recently had many Halco technicians at our house trying to resolve our AC problems.  I can't locate all the survey forms but would like to write one general email that I hope you will apply to all of the home visits. We had a bit of a unique problem and all technicians worked hard to resolve it.  Brandon and Matt were terrific about accommodating and responding to my need to understand what happened and to make sure we were protected from it happening again.  If a tech didn't know what to do - they called and found someone else.  We are very pleased with the service provided and would, and have, recommended your service to others. Of special note is Hans.  His experience enabled him to look at our situation a bit more broadly and he's why we added the furnace purchase.  We appreciated his honest assessment and saving $1000 by buying it now with the AC rather than later.  His comments were extremely valuable.  And Brandon jumped on it and had technicians in the next business day to install the unit.  We are very pleased with the service we received.  Thanks for helping us through a difficult situation.

To whom it may concern: A big thanks to Sam and Jim who put a lot of thought into the planning of getting our air conditioner installed.  We are so grateful and appreciative of all the hard and intense labor that Dan and Taylor put into the installation. What a difference in how comfortable we feel now in our home.  And thank you for sending the extra help on the last day.  We are new to the area but we would not hesitate in recommending your service to anyone and everyone.

We love the new coziness-warmth it has given to our home. Huge thanks to Rex, Brett, John, and Sean for the fine tuning of our thermostat to get it functioning just right.  My wife no longer mentions that "she is so cold" anymore! Such a welcome new era here after 25 years of her being cold. 

Yesterday, 02/03/2021, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. McConnell your serviceman on two occasions. On both occasions, I have found him to be an efficient expeditious, and pleasurable man.  Usually a service call can be an arduous unpleasant visit but on both occasions he has exhibited a professional efficient manner. As a former company executive of several companies, Krupp, Germany being one of them, I can sate so with authority and conviction. He is expeditious, he is outstanding and it is warranted you should be aware that you could not have a better person representing your company.  Your telephone answering persons are also excellent. Thanking you sincerely for your attention.

Steve Schreffler did an excellent job tuning my furnace and I feel safe that the furnace will keep us in heat all winter. Steve was a professional and Halco should be happy to have him. 

We loved working with Halco all around. Everyone who showed up was really great. Steve was especially amazing. He was always always always available and we are very grateful to have worked with him.

Once again it is my pleasure to provide kudos for two of Halco’s service providers. Dan Enright is amazing!  His plumbing knowledge and experience is irreplaceable.  He is also an outstanding mentor for the new young men he is training to become Halco Aces. Dan has been to my house 3 times and every time he has had a new understudy in tow.   Today he came with Dave.  I have observed that not only are his apprentices impressed by Dan’s expertise but it also speaks volumes about Dan that they totally enjoy working with him. I want to thank Halco for hiring terrific employees.  I know that, especially in today’s market, it is not easy to find good employees.  But Halco must be doing something right to have assembled such a great team.  

Hi I just wanted to say that Mike came out to my place and was not only really competent and did a great job, but he was also super-helpful and intuited some extra work that I really needed done so I was double happy with his work. I will be replacing that 80% furnace soon, but I just appreciate his help keeping it going.

Mike was at our house today with a very difficult plumbing problem! His ability to think outside the box and his willingness to spend the time that it took to solve the problem were exceptional!! Our house has had a string of impossible-to-solve plumbing problems for a long time. However, each time Mike has been able to use very clever tricks to solve the unsolvable! Today, Mike even outdid himself and was able to take out a metal spring and a ball of old wire that was clogging our laundry drain, using unconventional tools and his ability to assess the real problem! How did he even do that?!! He was also able to figure out the unique plumbing path (not the expected way of doing things), locate where the T was, and determine the weird direction of the pipes. I did not expect Mike to be able to solve the problem today but somehow he managed to do it! He is truly an amazing and dedicated problem solver! You should also know that I have been a customer service consultant in the past and I would rate Mike’s ability to work with me, the customer, as an 11 out of 10! He has excellent communication skills and was willing to work with me to solve the problem in a way that made me feel respected and part of the team. Thank you also for giving your plumbers cameras. Without these, I don’t think that Mike would have been able to locate and solve such an unusual problem. However, maybe I shouldn’t second guess Mike because he never gives up and somehow he always does the impossible!! Thanks Mike!!

Dave and Jim were excellent, very professional and personable. Bill was also very helpful with our questions - keep up the great work. We noticed the difference in the warmth of our house and a decreased humidity level immediately. Thanks.

Matt is the best. He figured out a solution to the problem. In a few days he reappeared to install a part that has solved the problem.
